Essentials of Student-Centered Math Teaching
In this course participants will develop 9 responsive teaching practice. The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) outlines 8 effective teaching practices in the 2017 publication "Principles to Action". This course provides a clear description of each practice, exercises that allow the practice to be placed in relevant context and practical application of each practice. Tools obtained in this course can be used right away in the classroom and also over time across a year as the ideas develop.
